A celebration of Hilda Faye Whitehead Morgan’s Life, age 84, of Port Arthur, TX was at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas, following with burial at Erin Cemetery. Visitation was be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Hilda died peacefully March 10, at her home.  A native of Jasper and longtime Port Arthur resident, she was a member of Memorial Church of Christ in Nederland, TX.  Hilda enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and cooking. She loved hunting and especially spending time with her family.

Hilda is survived by her husband of over 64 years Leonard “Whip” “Boots” Morgan of Port Arthur; two sons Leonard Dale Morgan and wife Patricia of Colleyville, TX, William Paul Morgan and wife Martha of Lumberton; daughter Linda Ross and husband Ronald of Wildwood, TX; six grandchildren Billy Morgan, Rhonda Rhodes, Laura Heusler, Jamie Hanks, Emily Morgan and Drew Morgan and three great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ruby Whitehead, three brothers Leon, John Henry and Ed Tom Whitehead.
