Henry Haynes

Henry Haynes of Port Arthur, Texas died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Henry was a native of Jeanerette, LA, a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for 60 years and was employed by Gulf Oil for 39 ½ years.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Brother Frank Hamilton will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Survivors include three nieces, Sherry Haynes Hill (Roland), Wanda Nicholas (Daniel) and Vera Haynes (Michael) all of New Iberia, LA; two nephews Carol Wayne Haynes, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA and Clifford Longford of Bellevue, NE; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Haynes of Port Arthur, TX; three goddaughters, Vickie (Butter) McIntyre, Evette Joseph and Delanie Haynes all of Port Arthur, TX; one special friend, Elinor “Kid” Joseph of Port Arthur, TX.

Henry is preceded in death by his wife Annie Shepherd Haynes; his parents, Harry Haynes, Sr. and Olena Haynes; three brothers, Harry Haynes, Jr., Bernard Haynes and Larry Hadley; four sisters, Elise Haynes, Inez Whitker, Hilda Dobson and Albertha Brown.
