Ladner Dale Alexander

Ladner Dale Alexander, 85, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Dale was born in Foxworth, Mississippi on March 19, 1931 to parents Leon and Myrtie Alexander. He had lived in the Port Arthur area for 61 years and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Dale was a veteran, serving his country in the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and retired from Gulf Oil Refinery after 34 years of employment as an operator. Dale enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music, having coffee at the mall with his friends and working on cars when he was younger. Dale loved traveling the United States and Canada with his wife of 59 years, Iris Crawford Alexander and going fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Iris Alexander; his sister, Willene May.

Dale is survived by his children, Brenda LeBlanc and husband, Bobby of Port Arthur; Jean Ballard and husband, Willie Jr. of Beaumont, Vicky Meyer and husband, Gery of Port Arthur, Ken Alexander and wife, Nancy of Nederland, Toni Alexander of Nederland, Terry Alexander and wife, Angela Rayne, LA; his siblings, Claudine McCullough, Lee Edward Alexander, Linda Pigott, Doug “Pete” Alexander all of McComb, MS. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11 am at Central Baptist Church 4545 TX HYW 73 Port Arthur, TX 77642, with a gathering of family and friend one hour prior to the service. Services under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
