Port Arthur Memorial High School is scheduled to retire the jersey of the school’s all-time leading rusher at halftime this Friday.
The Titans will honor Jamaal Charles by retiring his No. 4 jersey at the break of Memorial’s regular season finale against North Shore.
Charles rushed for 4,069 yards in two seasons with the Titans and scored 47 rushing touchdowns.
He then went on to star at the University of Texas before being taken by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft with the 73rd selection.
Charles is now the all-time leading rusher in Chiefs history with 7,220 yards in his career.
