ORANGE — An investigation is under way into what caused the death of a Beaumont man in a tank car at an industrial facility in Orange.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call around 10:10 p.m. Monday about an unresponsive male at Rescar Industries, 1993 Foreman Road in Orange.
When deputies arrived, they discovered that one of the workers was found unresponsive inside of a tank car by another employee. The employees gathered safety equipment to hoist the man’s body out of the tank car and onto a stretcher. There were no signs of life and the Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Derry Dunn ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The deceased man was identified as Martin Parks Jr., 42, of Beaumont. The investigation is ongoing and more information may be released as it becomes available.
