Update: One injured in crash on I-10 near FM 365

10:30 a.m. Update:
At approximately 8:30 a.m. Monday, there was a three vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near FM 365.  The crash was contained to the eastbound side of the Interstate.

A Ford passenger vehicle (2-door Mustang) was traveling east on Interstate 10.  For an unknown reason, the driver lost control and struck the cable barrier.  After striking the cable barrier, the passenger vehicle was pushed back into the eastbound traffic lane where it was then struck by a Ford pickup truck.  A third vehicle, also traveling eastbound, could not avoid striking both Ford vehicles.

The passenger in the Ford Mustang was transported to Baptist hospital in Beaumont for observation.  There were no other reported injuries.

At 9:20 a.m. Monday, troopers were on scene of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near FM 365, according to spokesperson Stephanie Davis. It appears that that the collision occurred on the eastbound side of the Interstate. Currently, all eastbound lanes of the Interstate are open; however, the extent of injuries is unknown. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
