Woman charged with murder of ex-husband

Bond is set at $200,000 for a Port Acres area woman charged with stabbing death of her ex-husband.

Gayle Annette Waller was arrested for the murder of Daniel Lee Dubois , 59, on Nov. 2. According to police Waller made statements regarding the incident to investigators which were reportedly corroborated by physical evidence leading them to seek an arrest warrant.

Port Arthur Police responded to a call of a deceased person at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at a home in the 2800 block of Manning. Responding officers determined the death appeared suspicious and called the department’s Major Crime team.

The murder is believed to have occurred at the home at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The body was not discovered until one week later on Nov. 2 when a relative arrived looking for him, according to a press release from PAPD.

Waller was arraigned on Sunday and bond set by Justice of the Peace Marc DeRouen.
